The Quality Engineering Manager is responsible to support and improve the Quality Systems for Deck and Rail Manufacturing Operations across the enterprise, ensuring compliance to internal quality and manufacturing process requirements and building code listing requirements. The Quality Engineering Manager must have a strong background in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, process optimization, automated inspection, and quality management systems.
Essential Functions:
Lead the Quality Engineering Team (Wilmington PVC Deck, Rail, cWPC Deck) across the enterprise (Wilmington, Scranton, Boise) to develop strong technical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
Lead Lean Six Sigma projects to identify process inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement.
Assist the company leadership in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.
Lead root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related Apply statistical and quality tools to analyze data and perform thorough Root Cause Analysis (e.g., Fishbone Diagram, 6M, 5Whys), execute CAPA processes and improve process capabilities (e.g.,5S, Lean, 6 Sigma, DOE, SPC)
Identify/Implement/Improve inspection techniques for manufacturing employees to properly interpret quality standards, and support quality procedures.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to promote a culture of quality.
Lead the integration of quality data from the current systems
According to standards, establish clearly defined quality methods for staff to
Conduct internal audits of the quality
Ensure test and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated uniformly among the multiple production sites.

Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school): Required
Experience: 5 plus years of experience
Computer Skills: Strong skills in Minitab, MS Office, PowerBI, ERP systems required
Certifications & Licenses: CQE, Six Sigma Certifications (Black Belt preferred)
Other Requirements: Experience/knowledge of Quality systems such as ISO, Six Sigma, TQ, PDSA, CI, 5S
