The compound management specialist will help design, build, and utilize a system to manage Biohaven’s growing collection of drugs/drug-like small molecules. The successful candidate will work with a team of chemists, engineers, and biologists in a dynamic and rapidly growing research environment.
This is a full-time contract position located in Pittsburgh, PA reporting to the Senior Automation Engineer. Salary and title will be commensurate with level of experience.
Design, development, and execution of compound management registration, formatting, storage, retrieval, and distribution processes
Protocol development and routine calibration and maintenance of automated liquid-handling and compound storage systems
Compound management liaison between biology and chemistry teams within Biohaven as well as with 3rd party compound suppliers and assay providers
Occasional travel to other Biohaven laboratories to implement and maintain common compound management practices as needed
Liaison to vendors relevant to compound management activities
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, biology, or related discipline
Minimum of two years of relevant laboratory/work experience
Experience working with automated liquid-handling instrumentation and laboratory information management (LIMS) systems strongly preferred
Experience working in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry preferred
