We have an opportunity available, headquartered at our Rexdale location, for an Engineer with 10 years or greater experience in a plastics manufacturing environment. This is a full time position, working with a dynamic team. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Generally, provide engineering support to plastics operations, and sales.

• Seek out and assess new technologies to meet corporate strategic goals.
• Execute resultant projects and communicate project/program status, work activities, and potential problems to relevant functional areas.
• Deliver projects on time, on budget, meet project objectives.

• Coordinate and execute production equipment enhancements and upgrades for the purpose of cost reduction, reliability, and product quality.
• Provide engineering support for new product development.
• Working with sales and directly with customer prospects in the product development phase, including on site and partaking in development and troubleshooting meetings
• Assist in preparing Capital and Departmental Budgets.
• Support the CKF Continuous Improvement (CI) Program.

• Ensure compliance with laws, standards and regulations in effect for buildings and equipment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years experience in an Engineering role.

• Work experience in plastics manufacturing industries essential (thermoforming and extrusion of hard plastics – rPET, PP etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to successfully execute capital projects.
• Engineering/Maintenance Department leadership experience would be an asset.

• Ability to teach and build sustainable work processes, understanding of Mechanical and Electrical processes.
• As a subject matter expert, be able to communicate ideas/concepts in customer facing situations.
