Sunthetics (www.sunthetics.org) is an NYU spin-off company that offers a sustainable manufacturing path to Nylon 6,6, through a more efficient and sustainable electrosynthesis process for adiponitrile (ADN), a key chemical intermediate in the production of Nylon. The Sunthetics process uses state-of-the-art electrochemical reactors to improve the production rate of ADN by 30% compared to traditional manufacturing methods.
