What will you do
As a Sr. Process Development Engineer, you will be a part of new product development team to work on design concept to product commercialization programs. You will identify and implement best in class manufacturing processes/automation to support the new product portfolio. You will lead/support capital acquisition activity from specifying equipment, contract negotiation, Installation, and validation activities and:
Executes the innovation and development of assigned project elements with an emphasis on the manufacturing process, technology and procedures required for the manufacture of new products.
Independently determines and develops approaches to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Develop capital projects including equipment estimates, resource plans, and quality requirements. Monitor and report on project progress to ensure delivery on time and on budget.
Uses latest engineering techniques to reduce product time to market whilst adhering to regulatory requirements, project deadlines and product costs.
Provide engineering support for new product and process introductions, ensuring that all activities are completed and documented in accordance with the Stryker new product development procedures.
Execute equipment and process validations (IQ, OQ, PQ)
Participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP and PPAP generation associated with product transfers and launches.
What you need
A Bachelor's Degree in engineering (Highly preferred Textiles Technology / Engineering, Materials Science with a focus on polymers (other B.S degrees will be considered based on the relevant experience in textile manufacturing)
3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred Technical Textile industry, preferably in Med-Tech textile)
Hands on experience in Technical Textile & cut and sew manufacturing processes.
Highly Preferred - Experience in one or more of these areas: Nonwoven needle punch manufacturing, Technical textile manufacturing and processing, ultrasonic/RF welding, sealing, thermo-forming or sewing processes strongly preferred
Demonstrated communication (written & verbal), presentation, partnership and influencing skills
Proven ability to effectively work in a fast paced, dynamic and results oriented team environment
