What You'll Be Doing - The role will work as a part of the site engineering group and will be required to perform a variety of tasks in support of the operation, including but not limited to the following:
Participate in and/or lead teams in support of optimizing plant processes for quality, cost, reliability and productivity.
Develop, execute and manage small capital projects.
Identify, evaluate and make recommendations regarding new process technologies.
Provide process engineering support to the plant to lead efforts associated with new product and process commercialization.
Coordinate and lead plant trials associated with all the aforementioned areas.
Provide technical oversight to the ongoing development and improvement of the site's manufacturing process data network.

Minimum of BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. BASF recognizes Institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education
Minimum of 18 months of related experience in a process industry or chemical industry. Will consider PDP experience.
Proven project management skills.
Experience in the use of SAP for the purpose of the development and management of BOM's, routs and capacity modeling/planning is desired.
Experience in optimizing and troubleshooting process control systems, e.g. DCS, PLC's.
Experience with Emerson Delta V control systems and OSI PI is strongly desired.
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to establish effective relationships quickly. He or she should have experience in working as part of a team and a strong technical aptitude.
Candidate must possess strong communication skills, verbal and written.
Candidate must display initiative, have a strong drive for results and be able to work with minimal supervision.
