The Seneca, SC Plant is a specialty chemical catalysts manufacturing and precious metals refining facility. The Prep Area Operations Engineer is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Prep Area. Operations Engineer (1900252) – Seneca, SC You will support the day to day operation of the Prep Area, providing technical assistance in executing the required production plan. This role will own Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Equipment Procedures (EP's) and Batch Instructions, lead troubleshooting efforts, and interact with Operations , Maintenance, and other operational support personnel. You will generate and complete MOCs and revalidate temporary MOCs to confirm they are still valid and will provide operational forecasts to other business units to enable transparency and commercial decision making. Additionally, you will s upport Capital Plan and Project Execution of existing and future Capital projects as Manufacturing Representative Manage the material backlog and provide production plans to Operations. Using Lean / Six Sigma tools, you will deliver process improvements in quality, productivity, cost and environmental compliance while also demonstrating strong leadership in safe plant operation and adherence to BASF Occupational and Process Safety rules and policies. You will be instrumental in leading troubleshooting efforts when problems arise and are a solution provider. This position requires strong leadership in safety and Behavioral Based Safety processes which support the BASF Journey to EHS Excellence. On-call responsibility is required for response to any after hour event that impacts production or EHS.
