The Supply Chain Manager - Mechanicals will be based in Zhangjiang?Shanghai, China and is a critical, hands-on leadership role within the Global Supply Chain organization. This individual will be responsible for supplier selection, supplier management, low-cost region sourcing, NPI, supplier quality initiatives, and working capital management for assigned categories and commodities including drives, dampers, fasteners and tools. The Supply Chain Manager will create and execute a supply chain strategy that supports NEXTracker’s growth plans. This individual will not have a team to manage directly but will interact heavily with NEXTracker and Flex colleagues on a worldwide basis.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
Drive identification and qualification of new sources for electronics to enable NPI, lower cost, and improve quality.
Negotiate large (up to $US 100+ million), global, multi-year supply agreements.
Own KPI’s, such as deflation, productivity, and working capital optimization.
Actively support the launch of new products on-time, on-budget, at targeted quality through an effective and disciplined sourcing processes and a preferred supplier strategy.
Drive excellence into major supplier negotiations and competitive bidding to support cost-effective growth.
Provide strategic and operational leadership of electronics sourcing in global locations such as China, Mexico, India and elsewhere.
Partner proactively with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Installation Project Management, and other groups within NEXTracker and Flex.
Here is some of what you’ll need (required):
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.
At least 5 years of material and manufacturing experience, including supervision.
Demonstrate expert functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
