Mirror Controls international (MCi), a Flex company, is the global market leader in mirror glass and power-folding actuators. Currently MCi is expanding its product portfolio to other Automotive actuation solutions such as Active Aerodynamics & Motor cooling management.
We are currently looking for a Product Engineer, based in Woerden, NL, who will work closely with the engineering and the production teams to ensure that we are delivering high-quality products. You will be in charge of the concept choices and lead the technical aspects throughout the product development phase until the production starts.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
Technical lead of multidisciplinary project teams, having ownership of the design and producibility of our precise mechanical actuators.
Translating project objectives and concepts from the research team into product solutions with optimal price/performance ratio.
Overseeing the verification process, including different test simulation scenarios and analyzing the results together with the product designer. Also being responsible for the whole product documentation.
Being the technical dialogue partner for different internal and external stakeholders, such as research and production team, product designers, customer, including occasional customer and production site visits.
Regular reports and updates to the management team, including ongoing activities, project status, product risks and planning.
Implementing and optimizing Quality and Engineering excellence tools in the design process as IATF 16949, SSDD (including DFMEA) and 5S.
Here is some of what you’ll need (required):
Bachelor/Master degree in the relevant field (such as Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering) as well as profound knowledge about electronics.
Experience with leading a project team and knowledge about designing plastics, metals as well as mass production and test simulations.
Used to work with automotive standards and quality tools (IATF 16949, DFMEA, etc.).
Proficient user of MS Office, MS Project as well as 3D CAD software (PTC Creo and simulations is a plus)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English, German is a plus
Customer orientated team player who enjoys to communicate efficiently.
Creative, innovative mind mixed with analytical thinking and attention to detail.
