The main purpose of this position is to technically support Ticona key customers by providing solutions for their applications based on Ticona products, structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA) studies, injection mold filling studies and part design proposals for plastic components and systems.

The individual on this position acts as program manager for customer service requests with bigger scope and as team leader for the North America CAE team.

The person must be skilled and experienced in static and dynamic FEA, mold filling simulations, plastic part design and project management.

The person on this position must also give presentations and design seminars to external and internal customers. Through excellent technical skills and complete understanding of the customer requirements (CTQs) the individual must propose and steer adequate solutions for the component and/or system design.

The owner of this position will have a close working relationships with the Ticona Marketing and Sales Development personnel, internal processing and testing labs, technology partners as well as with engineers at key customer accounts to provide the right level of support for existing business and new development programs.

The individual must show leadership in creating solutions and new concepts.

Watch trends in markets, at customers and in technology. Identify needs and close gaps.

Requirements
Minimum of 5 years experience in CAE. Strong ability and solid experience in performing static and dynamic FEA structural analyzes, Moldflow simulations, engineering calculations with non-linear material models, plastic part design and tooling. Proficient in structural analysis with ANSYS workbench. Experienced in perfroming MOLDFLOW studies. Experienced in plastic part design and tooling for ETPs and HPPs. Wide knowledge in Engineering and High Performance Polymers Practical knowledge in injection molding process. Good presentation skills (verbal, written), interpersonal and negotiation skills to excite customers and understand their CTQs. Excellent project and time management skills. Sense of urgency. Accountability & Reliability: Is willing and able to set and meet ambitious project targets. Solution oriented mindset. Watch trends in markets, at customers and in technology. Identify needs and close gaps. MS in Mechanical or Polymer/Plastics Engineering or related technical field.
