Where the Chemistry Happens...
As a member of the Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for providing instrument and electrical engineering expertise to the Pasadena Chemical Manufacturing operating areas, as well as providing technical guidance to the I/E/A maintenance group. You will be required to provide technical support for daily maintenance activities and provide design and technical information for maintenance and capital improvements. In addition, you will provide professional leadership with day-to-day guidance for the I/E/A Maintenance team. You also will provide technical support to Root Cause Failure Analyses and troubleshooting of problems, and hold responsibility for the maintenance, testing, and documentation of the site's SIS infrastructure. Finally, you will ensure a culture of continuous improvement.
Lead and participate on Accident/Incident investigation and RCFA teams.
Complete action items generated from Audits, PHAs, Accident/Incident investigations, and MOCs.
Provide technical guidance to I/E/A Maintenance personnel.
Direct equipment repairs involving on- and off-site contract personnel.
Participate in PHA reviews.
Provide technical support to Production, Project Engineering, and other Maintenance staff.
Manage SIS systems and associated documentation; lead SIS functional checks.
Perform equipment updates and reliability improvements
Create, review, and edit procedures related to repairs, mechanical integrity, and operation of equipment.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You have...
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field with at least 7 years of Degreed maintenance, reliability and / or project engineering experience in a chemical / petrochemical or other similar manufacturing environment.
Solid working knowledge of, and experience with current methodologies of Root Cause Failure Analysis processes such as Apollo or Think Reliability.
Broad based, hands on knowledge and experience with various types of electrical equipment and instrumentation with a solid understanding of maintenance work processes.
Working knowledge of maintenance activities associated with process equipment such as power distribution systems up to 5KV, pressure, level, and temperature instrumentation, various types of analyzers and sampling systems.
Experience with the PHA process
Ability to communicate effectively with facts and figures along with the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate. Able to provide direction and evaluate performance of others.
Knowledge of applicable industry codes (OSHA, NFPA, NEMA, PSM, etc.)
DCS and PLC experience with systems such as Honeywell, and Allen Bradley including strong SIS experience (Triconex system and SIS Certification preferred).
SAP/R3 or a similar enterprise system experience
Demonstrated solid performance in troubleshooting I/E issues as well as recommending and implementing changes.
You must be able to work in a diverse environment - working closely with mechanics, inspectors, operators, engineers, and management to solve problems and address systemic issues related to electrical equipment reliability.
